Acceptance into our program is not contingent on an interview or audition; these are specifically for students interested in A-State Theatre Scholarships. Students receiving Department of Theatre scholarships are expected to:
a) be a Theatre major
b) maintain an academic advisor in the Department of Theatre
c) maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better within the Theatre major
d) be a significant contributor to A-State Theatre's season of plays and musicals, participating in a majority of the productions each year through enrollment in Theatre Practicum.
e) audition for all production (Acting and Musical Theatre emphases only)
f) attend any workshops provided by A-State Theatre
Awards are competitive. Students must reapply for scholarships each year. Award amounts are reviewed annually and may change based on the applicant's qualifications and available funding. Please fill out the application form and someone will follow up with you to schedule an audition or interview.
